This 4-hour Prescribed Essential (PE) CPD course empowers Singapore property professionals to combat money laundering risks, addressing urgent needs highlighted by the 2024 National Risk Assessment and updated PMLFT Regulations.
Using a case-driven approach with five interactive activities, the course ensures participants will be able to:
- Recognize Singapore’s key money laundering threats and governmental strategy.
- Define money laundering stages and explain real estate’s appeal for illicit funds.
- Identify bad actors (e.g., shell companies, PEPs) and common typologies like property flipping.
- Apply due diligence, spot red flags, and file Suspicious Transaction Reports via SONAR.
- Analyze real cases, including the $3 billion scandal, to assess gaps and recommend strategies.
